I am a hereditary cartomant, a practicing diviner and a professional rootworker. My first memories are of my mother reading the playing cards to her girlfriends around the kitchen table. These early experiences had shaped my love for fortunetelling, and sparked a life-long commitment to studying various forms of divination.
Throughout the years, as I relocated from my homeland of Moldova to Israel, and then to the US, I took every opportunity learning divination and increase my knowledge of the occult and of folk magic.
In my consultations, I regularly work with playing cards, tarot, ‘gypsy’ and oracle decks, Deste cards, bones, mediumship, and of course with the Lenormand. Since being introduced to this system several years ago, a traditional way of reading these cards became absolutely integral to my divination and conjure practice.

I have studied and taught many aspects of the Western Mysteries for over 30 years, including ancestral ritual, shamanism, and divination, whether it be reading the omens in nature, to the many kinds of early cartomancy, and also tarot and Lenormand. I am the author of over 60 books which include Enchanted Lenormand Oracle (2013), The Complete Lenormand Handbook (2014,) and have created four tarots and five oracles. Together with John Matthews & Felicity Wombwell, I am the co-founder of The Foundation for Inspirational and Oracular Studies (FIOS) which spotlights the oral and sacred arts that often become sidelined as unimportant: we annually host exemplars of these sacred arts to teach in UK. Supporting traditional skills and methods of divination is very important to me and I am very fortunate in having so many colleagues throughout the world who share this interest and pool researches. I am the owner of two original mid-19th century Lenormand decks, including the Belgium Daveluy and the 46 card Austrian Zauberkarten, and am fascinated how variant Lenormand and small oracles cross-fertilized each other. I’m a professional reader with decades of experience, the last ten years being heavily focused on Lenormand as well as Grand Jeu, Kipperkarten, Sibilla and similar old european systems. I also like Marseilles Tarot, and Asian fortune telling such as Mo, the Kuan Yin quatrains, Jiaobei and I Ching. I approach card reading as a folklorist rather than an innovator, and looking for old techniques, especially those that were passed orally, is a kind of Grail quest for me. I love the authentic and time-tested methods. I never cared about trends – when I started reading Lenormand, hardly anyone else who spoke english bothered with it – and if I’m not mistaken my blog was the first in english to address the Grand Jeu.
When I’m not doing readings or research, you can find me at Austin music venues, or hanging out at home with my dog Bandit, surfing the net, reading books, working out or watching movies from the 20’s and 30’s. I read at Keen, Oranum, Starz, Etsy and privately through my blog: http://fennario.wordpress.com/

I’m Björn Meuris, born and living in Belgium since 1977.

From the beginning of this century, my interest in Cartomancy began to grow, it soon became an addiction…

Nowadays I’m a professional cartomancer and teacher.

My first love was a deck of Petit Lenormand cards, with this deck I’m married till death do us part.

This card deck doesn’t mind that I have a lot of flirts nowadays with: playing cards, Tarot, Jeu du Destin, Kipper and many others .

As long if I just wear one ring, n°25.

And I will…
